Recently, the Ford Bronco 1966 has officially launched its pre-sale. As a 60th-anniversary edition of the Ford Bronco, this model is available in two configurations, with pre-sale prices of RMB 386,600 and RMB 436,600 respectively.
The new vehicle’s exterior takes the 1966 first-generation Bronco as the design blueprint, presenting a retro style. The front face features a white front grille with a porous structure inside, and a red "BRONCO" emblem is inlaid in the center. On both sides of the grille, round headlight clusters and long strip turn signals are equipped.
On the side of the vehicle body, the Ford Bronco 1966 adopts a two-tone body design and is fitted with Goodyear 35-inch all-terrain AT tires. The fender is inlaid with the original italic chrome-plated "BRONCO" 3D emblem. Two cameras are installed at the bottom of the wheel arches to help the driver monitor the surroundings of the vehicle and water depth in real time. The rear of the vehicle adopts a vertical taillight design, and is equipped with a rear-mounted spare tire and a side-opening tailgate. Modular exterior design is one of the Bronco’s features — the doors, roof, wheel arches and front bumper are all detachable. The length, width and height of the new vehicle are 4825/2070/1990 mm respectively, with a wheelbase of 2950 mm.
The interior seats are made of leather with quilting craftsmanship, paired with custom Oxford white piping, and red embroidered labels are added on the backrests. An exclusive nameplate is installed at the lower part of the center console. The interior is equipped with multiple grab handles and a rear windshield that can be opened independently. It is equipped with a 12.3-inch LCD instrument cluster and a 12-inch central control screen. The instrument cluster can display professional off-road information. The central control screen is built with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip and is equipped with the Ford SYNC+ intelligent connected system, supporting CarPlay and voice control. A large number of physical buttons are arranged below the central control screen. A red LOGO is added to the center console trim panel on the co-pilot side.
The Ford Bronco 1966 is powered by a 2.3T EcoBoost turbocharged engine, with a maximum horsepower of 275 hp and a maximum torque of 429 N·m, matched with a 10-speed automatic manual transmission. It is equipped with Dana front/rear axle electronically controlled mechanical differential locks, an intelligent anti-roll bar disconnection function, and the EMOD intelligent full-time four-wheel drive system — which can realize zero-delay intervention of active four-wheel drive and automatically adjust the front and rear axle torque distribution according to road conditions. It supports low-speed four-wheel drive and intelligent front anti-roll bar disconnection. The G.O.A.T. all-terrain intelligent management system has seven modes; in Baja mode, it can release full power for high-speed traversal of sand or sand dunes. In addition, it is also equipped with the HOSS 2.0 suspension system, which can actively adjust the damping hardness.
The first-generation Bronco was born in 1966, pioneering the combination of "sports" and "multi-function" and becoming the first off-road vehicle to define the Sports Utility concept. To pay tribute to this legendary model, the Ford Bronco 1966 adopts a retro design and inherits the consistent hardcore off-road capabilities of this vehicle series.
