Getting into the car, the first impression is that the interior is worth the price. The full LCD instrument panel and the 15.6-inch central control screen are even larger than the dual 12.3-inch connected screens of the Tank 300. The configurations such as seat ventilation and heating, panoramic imaging, and electrically operated tailgate are all provided. There is even a private fragrance system, which is not common on the Tank 300. However, it should be noted that the interior materials of the Tank 300 are more luxurious, with large areas of soft packaging and exquisite stitching. Once you sit in it, you will have a rugged style reminiscent of American hardcore off-road vehicles. In this regard, JETOUR is still slightly inferior.

The center console retains some physical buttons, and I, Old Wang, would like to give this a thumbs up. Nowadays, many cars, in pursuit of the so-called sense of technology, cram all functions into the screen. When driving, it takes a long time to adjust the air conditioner by swiping, which is really inconvenient. The common functions of the Star Guard all have independent buttons, making blind operation very convenient. The steering wheel is flat-bottomed and offers a good grip. The layout of the multi-functional buttons on both sides is also very reasonable.

In terms of space, the front seats are very spacious, with ample headroom and good seat support. The rear floor is completely flat, so three people sitting there won't feel crowded. The standard volume of the trunk is not small, and with that aviation trunk added, the loading capacity is quite considerable. Old Wang, I gave it a try. It's completely fine to put in four carry-on suitcases and a few backpacks. All the equipment can be packed when taking the whole family camping on the weekend.

In terms of power, the Star Guard is equipped with a 2.0T engine, delivering 254 horsepower and 390 N · m, paired with a 7-speed wet dual-clutch transmission. In terms of data, it is slightly more powerful than the 2.0T engine of the Tank 300 (227 horsepower and 387 N · m). However, the Tank 300 excels in its 8AT transmission, which is smoother, especially in low-speed off-road driving, where the power connection is more delicate. However, JETOUR has upgraded its XWD fully automatic intelligent four-wheel drive system this time, featuring a "7+X" driving mode. It can intelligently switch between snow, mud, sand and rocks, and automatically adjust within 0.15 seconds. This response speed is smarter than the traditional four-wheel drive system of the Tank 300.

Off-road performance is the core of tough SUVs. The advantage of the Tank 300 lies in its non-independent body structure and three locks. Its torsional resistance and ability to get out of difficult situations in extreme road conditions are indeed stronger. But to be honest, how many people would really drive their cars to climb rocks or rush through sandy slopes? For most people, the Jetour Traveler with a unibody is actually more suitable - it's more comfortable for urban commuting and sufficient for light off-roading. The Star Guard is also equipped with all-terrain AT tires and an aluminum alloy ladder, which is more than enough for driving on unpaved roads and camping on weekends.
