Vito inherits Mercedes-Benz’s meticulously refined automotive craftsmanship and the German ethos of rigorous pragmatism. According to engineers in Mercedes-Benz’s Commercial Vehicle R&D department, when the MPV was localized in China, Mercedes-Benz ensured that its quality remained identical to the imported version. This meant exceedingly strict supplier selection and quality-control measures: every component of the vehicle is manufactured 100 percent in accordance with the Mercedes-Benz Development System (MBD) and the Mercedes-Benz Production System (MBPS) standards. Through outstanding design, advanced technology, exquisite workmanship, and solid materials, the Vito exemplifies the pinnacle of German-engineered Mercedes-Benz craftsmanship.

Like the Viano, the Vito is equipped with the same high-performance engine found in Mercedes-Benz’s premium cars, and it comes standard with the ADAPTIVE ESP adaptive electronic stability program. This includes the usual features—ABS (Anti-lock Braking System), ASR (Acceleration Skid Control), BAS (Brake Assist System), and EBD (Electronic Brakeforce Distribution)—and adds RMI (Rollover Mitigation Intervention), ROM (Rollover Mitigation), LAC (Load Adaptive Control), EUC (Extended Understeer Control), and CBC (Cornering Brake Control at high speed).
